I was young
A little boy
Wandering down a winding road
Leading to a house
A manor
Painted red
Emanating fortitude and solidity
Words I didn’t know
Feelings to come with time

On the porch I stood before
A massive looming door
The paint was wet do not touch
But a child could not ignore

My fingers slid across the grain
Recoiled with a phantom pain
I saw crimson dripping steady
Dripping blood from wooden vein

I knew this house it had to be
My place of birth though lost to me
Wherein walls now held fast
Were mortar, dust, and dying tree?

Wrecking ball, foundation crack
Untouched for hands hold intact
Strong and beating rhythmically
From blood off Savior’s back

I tried with rapture to impart
The wisdom imbued with a start
Cleanse the soul and be surprised
What's found in search of heart

This is so intense Walt...loved the imagery of the manor, and meeting of one's self and immortality...and creator, I am in awe, and proud to be president, of The way-out-walt fan club...

Well done

Just an effigy to be disgraced,
to be defaced.
Your need for me has been replaced.
