I Might Be - a poem for a girl I haven't met yet

I MIGHT BE by Buddy Bergman

I might be the guy
you're thinking about
the guy you want
the guy you can't live without

I might be the one
who cheers you up
who cooks you dinner
and brings coffee when you wake up

I might be the one
who whispers in your ear
tells you sweet nothings
and says " I love you dear "

It could be me
that you call at night
when you can't sleep
or when you're in fright

If you want someone to hold you
at any time of day
give me a quick call
and i'm on my way

I sit here thinking
about what it's like
to be your blanket
and hold you tight

It's an interesting thing
to think of such things
it moves my heart
and makes it sing

I get sort of giddy
in this state of mind
thinking about that girl
i'm longing to find

If it's supposed to be you
and I still don't know
then let me have a sign
so then i'll know

Now i say goodbye to you
as the day goes past
and look forward to my dreams
where you'll always last

I think this is it
It's what its all about
this strange new feeling
that i can't live without

I hope it gets stronger
through each days endeavor
and leads me to say
"I love you forever"

Great start Buddy! That is a very unified and well timed flow of words you posted. I love all the expressions of how things might be if you found your special love.
I hope you can find someone to say I love you forever...

Wow it REALLY is hard to type when the tears have completely clouded up your eyes!!!! What am awesome poem...I am a bit surprised because I just posted a VERY similar poem today (all about my "dream guy") in the Corner Pub.....
