This poem was written for a very special person that is so very dear to my heart. If you happen to stop by for a read, I sincerely hope that you enjoy this humorous little write that I have put together. Thank all of you so much, Bill Charles “SOCKIES ON MY FEET” “Honey, I know it’s springtime, But the rain is coming down in sheets. And it’s so cold and damp in here, That’s why I put “Sockies” on my feet”! Now summer has arrived with a heat wave, The air conditioner strained, and never missed a beat. “And honey, it’s really, really, cold in here, That’s why I put “Sockies” on my feet”! Fall snuck in, and I didn’t even notice, It didn’t feel like we had any heat. “Honey, I was really chilly when we went to bed, That’s why I put “Sockies” on my feet”! Winter blasted into town with a cold wind, It was icy just like last year, was it going to repeat? Anyway I said, “Honey, I’m really freezing, That’s why I put “Sockies” on my feet”! So, we went to bed that cold winter night, Whoopie Doo, I was promised a real treat! I rolled over and when I embraced her, She started putting “Sockies” on my feet! Bill Charles 7/23/00 4:41 PM |

This was really cute. Reminded me of myself because I always wear socks no matter the weather. I just loved this. It was unusual and made me smile. thanks for posting it! Kathleen |

Hi Bill.....This was a wonderful read!!!!!!! You have a great sense of humor, and it comes through here....... I loved every word!!!!! (Just be glad that she didn't bundle you up in long-johns!! (Ha!! Ha!!) Keep writing, Bill, don't ever stop!! Love received is equal to love given! |

Well, this being my first venture into this forum, I have to say that this was quite humorous. Your title drew me in and it is quite funny how universal sockies are.
