Hide the pain so you can't see it. Show you everything’s all right. Anything you want I'll be it just to make it through the night. You said this wasn’t your intention so I smile when your near. Ignore the looming of rejection. Quickly brush away a tear. Laugh with you so you can smile knowing that I'll make it through. Heart is breaking all the while, I'll never be over you. Say goodbye and kiss your cheek, watch you slowly drive away. Defenses now become weak until we meet another day. |
