Days of Yesteryear

If we could only just relive
the days of yesteryear.
If we could smile that one smile
or shed that dreaded tear.
Then time would stop.
And we would live the life we never did.
And share the love that we once knew
when we were only kids.

For all of us to remember the first time we fell in love.

This is lovely even if there are those among us who would rather forget that first love.
