Bring Back The Night

~*Marge Tindal*~

Bring back the night when you held me
Surrounded in your charms
Memories-in-the-making
secure in the strength of your arms

Infinite memories cascading
held in the rapture of twinkling light
Take me far beyond tomorrow
but, kindly bring back the night

The sunlight rays reflecting
intensify with might
Sweet memories of soft recalling
my need to swallow the night

Surrender me to the velvet skies
borne on wings of a lover's sigh
Take from me what you might
but please, bring back the night

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

MarkB~
You're so sweet.
It just fell to my inkwell as my morning
was interrupted with the sunrise.
Just wanted to recall the night to hold me
a little longer.
Thank you ...
there's always a 'next' !

Kit~
Yeah ...... wanted to slumber longer
in those sweet recalls.
Thanks, gal.

Marge another great one!

"Surrender me to the velvet skies
borne on wings of a lover's sigh
take from me what you might
but please, bring back the night."

You are such a great romantic poet Marge.
Wonderful lines these and a great title.
So well done!

ETHome~
Thanks for the reply.
Yes ... I guess this 'romantic' heart
beats for all lovers to find some
precious memory to recall.

I believe that all poetry is 'romantic'
in nature as it comes from the heart.

My little 'coasty' sister .....
the night offers so much delight to us both.
Why - of course - it must run in the family !
Love ya, gal !

Thanks for taking another look at
that 'romantic' side of me.

I can't answer a question that
I don't believe exists, my dear ...
so I will humbly thank you for the compliment.
Love ya'
