I know that I have lost my chance,
I know that it’s too late,
All the times I could’ve asked you
And all the times my mind said “wait”

I should have seen this happening
I really should have known
That although my heart stays faithful,
Yours has changed and grown,

You never seemed to care much
And its now very clear to see,
The one that you loved all along,
Was someone else, not me

I should have asked you when I could,
For now the chance has gone,
And now I’ll live out all my days
Wondering if you were the one

Like a Bee without a flower
Like a bird without the sky
Here I am without you
Alone and asking why

Why did I let the chance be lost?
Why did I leave it too late?
All the times I could have asked you,
Why did my mind say “wait”?

Sari, big welcome to PAssions. A really lovely poem.

why must we pray
screaming? why must not death be redefined? we shut our eyes we stretch out our arms and whirl on a pane of glass-patti smith

Welcome to Passions Sari...love this and the meaning that goes with it. To wait is to miss out on some of life gifts, so even if it means taking chances that could hurt, never never not say whats in your heart.

never say never
