twilight dimmming of the sun child on the run no where to hide curled in a corner of some back alleyway thinking she's got no place to stay afraid of going home scared to be alone she faces the night clutching her worn cardigan she used to laugh out load at everyones jokes she used to tell a few of her own she used to smile wide just to step outside her eyes would light up with each little surprise now deep and dark and out of reach she has become to me what shes' searching for doesn't come easy though she struggles on, day to day, not knowing what will come her way though she thinks she has nothing to live for she has been here before she watched him when he hung up his cowboy hat left it there and that was that and she liked it when he tickled her at first then it began to hurt hasn't got forgiveness in her heart her tiny soul has been torn apart the angels will find her give her a refuge peaceful solitude the angels, her only restitude has to be the angels coming after her only the angels can save her now just the angels lifting her up off from the ground please come the angels only the angels can free her soul just the angels do you think she knows? This is a song I wrote in the middle of the night while listening to Sheryl Crow....I am very inspired by her music......I hope you enjoyed it...< !signature--> Julie [This message has been edited by JulieAnn (edited 07-21-2000).] |

What a wonderful gift you have to write songs...reminds me also of a song by Beth Hart called "L.A. song"...James |

Julia, Nice song!! You have been wonderfully inspired. Like this one a lot. Lone Wolf Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

JulieAnn.... I think Sheryl would be impressed! This is wonderful...wish I could hear the melody, as I write songs, too. What do you play? Great job on this one!!! ~~~Never say Never!~~~ |
