where levee breaks ...

rivers flow eternal into delta's waiting mouth
love's slow current overwhelms my flow south
unto the rushes I sacrifice my will
relentless hunger remains unfulfilled

of ocean's deep, the mysteries I write
but love's deeper well clinches tight
and oh inept this riverine
to contain the tide of lusting need

the play of surf upon wanton lips
foamed surge sprays as tide doth rip
from mountain's ice, to sea asunder
joined joyful in the roar of thunder

be damned the living in its wake
accursed, dwell where levee breaks
waters of love, forever swift
our consummation, now adrift

Loved the flow of the poem,, quiet beginning but a thunderous finish

serenity...

if you don't mind, i'd like to pull this into my manuscript ... of course
with your full accreditation ... Seems people like the "flow" ... i did too
... reads nice, with rhythm and rhyme ... thanks for the effort ... your
words tempered a more lusty direction for the piece and titled
it, as well ... well done.

a wonderful team effort guys this one flowed effortlessly.

why must we pray
screaming? why must not death be redefined? we shut our eyes we stretch out our arms and whirl on a pane of glass-patti smith
