Today is mine to mold The key to the future Is here to hold Time now to be bold I control my destiny Mastering the ability to dream Of what will eventually be When the sadness finally flees My days will be filled With efforts to warm A heart that's been chilled Which you almost stilled I take control once more A lighthouse on the bay Leads me to the shore From which I was torn No where left to turn On this another day Lessons have been learned My heart has been burned Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Ah Lone Wolf, even though you've been burned in this piece, one can see that the hope lives on... I like this...well done! Sunny ~~~Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. Helen Keller ~~~ When you want to be loved, look within...KRJ |

Wonderful Lone Wolf! I can feel your strength building in this verse as I read ... light at the end of the tunnel there is. A powerful and optomistic pick-me-upper! Best wishes, /Kit |

Lone Wolf, I came a looking for you and found a nice surprise. I like this a lot. My days will be filled With efforts to warm A heart that's been chilled Which you almost stilled I take control once more A lighthouse on the bay Leads me to the shore From which I was torn This is great, 'almost stilled'. I can see the contrast of emotions in this bit. Linda M |

I know how that feels. You get lust for trust and you lose but the real heart lives on in a better world I believe. This is very good Lone Wolf I could feel the hurt. Good work! |

Lone Wolf you are not alone. Don't despair as another day comes things get better. Find the light that you mentioned and follow it. When it grows dim look into your heart and soul where it still shines. Keep writing your dreams. Put that lighted path in words so that it my shine on our paths also. Thank you for sharing your feeling. Kathryn Miller |
