clarinet's loon ... raspy sharp clarinet funk digging into my eardrums sunk so deep into my head blood curdles making me wish i were dead (or is that deaf?) learn to play that blasted thing learn it today or put it away down under your bed of dismay crystal glasses know what i mean frail as they seem they got nothin' on my bean just cut off my head for shrill chills making teeth clinch so tight my new dentures will fit just right end this pain soon or to the moon will go clarinet's loon left only to learn the bassoon's loony tune M.A. Miller 07.20.00 note: i was reflecting back to my early music lesson days (which failed miserably) ... i have nothing against either instrument ... < !signature--> My calling before me, let quill be my offering; For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive. Liked this, MA! I played the clarinet (considered a nerdy instrument at the time) but could never make it past 2nd chair. Gave it up for a cooler instrument (guitar) when I was a teen. Thanks for sharing this! Corinne |
