After all these years.. You'd think you'd know me better than you do.. After all these years.. There isn't much that we have not been through.. What more is there that I should say? I can't take one more lonely day.. Of being here with you...after all these years... ---------------------------------------------------- After all these years.. I'm changing right before your very eyes.. After all these years.. You see it all but just don't realize.. That I need room to spread my wings.. I still have time and songs to sing.. I want to live again...after all these years... ---------------------------------------------------- But if you'd just say you love me.. and you really want to try.. If you would brush away the tear that's burning in my eye.. I'd sit right down and stay right here Until the day I die.. But it looks to me like the answer's gonna be no... So, after all these years..it's time to go... And I'm really gonna miss you.. But you won't even know...... ~~~~~Live for Today~~~~~ taste every single moment |

It is so sad when a partner and the one that we should be able to call our best friend doesn't grow with us and even worse yet when they don't want to try. This speaks volumes in a matter that is a true misjustice of love. Great write my friend. |

Sunny1, You have done it again, as you have written words so true when one does not grow with the other. And when that one finally realizes what has happened, it is usually too late. So sad, but so true. What insight and experience you must have. |

i think this poem has a lot of feeling in it. the writter really expreesed strong feelings of what it feels like to hope for something that will never come. |

This is so heart-wrenching Sunny. It's incredibly difficult when the years go by and we lose something along the way ... try as we might, sometimes we cannot find what we have lost again ... sigh. Beautifully written from the heart! Best wishes, /Kit |

What a heart wrencher! And a cautionary poem for those undecided, who don't realise what they have right there in front of them. Perfectly captured the whole idea. It never starts out that way does it, but then slowly and steathily, something steals it bit-by-bit. Linda M. |

Sunny1-I can sure identify with what you say, its hard to get back the love that is gone and as hard as you try, it will never be the way it used to be. Very nicely written, you captured it well. |
