I know you still haunt me
Letting go of my soul.
Of all the days that we wasted
When we wanted some control.
Have you ever loved another
The way that I love you now,
Have you ever let your mind go
Trusting it to my hold.

I know you still haunt me
Of times I wasted away,
From distant lands we were taken
To live our lives this day.
Have you ever held another
The way I held you then
In the bed, under both covers
So the world could not come in.

Can't you see the begining
Of a lifetime of change
That begins when you open
Your heart to me today.
Just open up your arms
And feel the strength that we gained,
From having one another
Through this turmoil and the pain.
