They say this loves
   not real.
To fall like this
   an impossible dream.
Because how can you love
   one you've never met
Who's eyes you have
   yet to see.
So I say to these doubters
   What is love?
Isnt it two hearts touching
   hidden places in your mind?
Isnt it two people sharing
   all their thoughts and hopes?
Then what does it matter
   I've not seen your face?
If you've been honest
   and true with me.
Physical pleasure is a
   gift and a joy.
But its not what
   captures the heart.
Its sharing your thoughts
   your dreams
Your hopes and your
   fears
And where better than here
   to start?

never say never

I've always called it "getting to know
someone from the inside out"......we can only
hope that the person on the other end is
HONEST and not painting a very different
picture than what is really there....."trust
but trust with caution" Great work Paula and
I can relate all to well   the hardest fall
I ever took!!

The sentiment is great. I hope the reality is as well.

Oh this was just wonderful, Paula, like all that you write. I certainly agree with everything you wrote in it.

Wow.....Have you looked in on my life? I have a love right now. It started here in this internet place, not having met eye to eye for almost a year. But we knew,we were in love.

We met, and it was true, a love born out of not seeing became the greatest love of all! We are now engaged!

So I say the greatest love of all is the love deep inside!! Great insite!!

Very well thought out, and obviously spoken from the heart.
I liked it a lot.

Saunni...thank you so many people only see with their eyes so they miss so much.

eyesplus2...we as poets know the power of the written word...I found my love right here...through words alone. Glad you did too.

linda...yes from my heart
