My grampa was a baldie I wonder if I'll be, But you know he wore it well-- As well as well can be! I told him,"Pops, Your hair's getting thin." And then I gave him a sly grin, He chuckled back, without a care He says to me, "Who wants fat hair?" He told me once, what he had heard 'Bout baldies who sought out to be cured. "For falling out hair-what stops it for sure, It at the point, it hits the floor!" My Grampa was a proud one, taking in stride, His baldness was no problem--but a thing of pride! He said, "The Lord only made a few perfect "nuff, All the others He gave hair to kindly cover 'em up!" Ol' Grampa was a great one, I'm sure glad I was his grandson. And if in time the same hair loss is mine, At least it's better than losing my mind! If I should lose my awesoome mane, I doubt that it would cause much pain. If MUCH LATER ON, in my life like Pops "Twill be a proud crown of just what I got!!! |
