She has existed since the beginning of time A mere word bringing her to life To fill the empty void with her brilliance Her power fills the universe Darkness fears her but cannot exist without her Nor she without him On that first day, she revealed a new world Her face smiled in that first sky And we gave thanks to the power that created her Her light gave us hope Her name was Sunlight and she filled our lives She was our First Light Since then, she has shown her love and light to us Breathing into us life, her Sunlife Today, I watched her rise into a sky of love Her colors bright and bold The warmth of her love and the life of her light Can only be one word. . . Sven, Sunshine is so beautiful!!! This is a lovely poem my friend. I think you have more than met this challenge. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
