Where do we go from here? Only heaven knows Our love is very clear Every day it grows I could spend a lifetime Lying in your arms Ingulfed in your passion And swimming in your charms A lifetime making memories Walking hand in hand Giving in to you completely But what are Heaven's plans Our love is forever And that's my biggest fear Being together would hurt another So where do we go from here? |

matters of the heart ... always the hardest questions to ask ourselves tender sweet poem Jeff... hope you find the answers that your heart wants to hear. later-love poetry-gator jm There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched. There are places inside our hearts - that need to be loved this much. ~jm~ |

At least you are thinking of the other person... Good luck in your decision. So many times people dont. Then again, they say dont let anything get in the way of true love... Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go. |

Jeffrey, I know you aren't asking for advice so I won't give it. You're poem is full of your 'heart'. Take care. |

Jeff I loved this poem. It'a all too often it seems to occur that we fall in love with one where the complications are huge. I suppose there is always the chance someone might get hurt when two people get together, but fate steps in... excellent poetry |

Thank you everyone, I wasn't asking for advice. I already know the answer to this rhetorical question, and that is exactly what it was. Again thanks for listening to my ramblings. |

Jeffrey, Nice writing my friend. I knew in my heart you would know the answer to this question. I am proud of you for that. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

I love this poem! Been there, done that. It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Henley |

Well, Jeffrey, sometimes somewhere deep within the mind lies a doubt... and flashing neon lights... what do they flash...maybe this... Love is its greatest enemy, its greatest competitor... I guess the rhetoric also suggests out of some logic that since Love is defeated by love (it being its greatest enemy) never fight love... let love happen and rather be conquered by love ... anyway enough ramblings ... I should applaud for this extremely thought-provoking poem... great poem indeed!!! regards, sudhir. |

A great poem indeed and a good one to end my night on as I reflect in your insight and the depth of this question that many face. You have penned a beauty in words, thought, style, and rhyme. Well done. |
