Legend

Blackest pitch of night
Innocence will not prevail
In darkest dungeons
Love has failed

Removed was the armour
That exposed Satan’s soul
Even pleads of desperation
Won’t deliver from the devil’s hole

Speak no more of freedom
Dark ears only listen with a grin
In flames of fearless fire
To late to repent your sin

A sacred soul up for sale
The devil will always buy in the end
Eternity in hideous Hell
Forever to partake in his legend

It is a blessing to have wings for words, and passion in pen

There are places inside our hearts -
that need to be loved this much.

As JM said, very cryptic poem.. Awesome, nonetheless...

Speak no more of freedom
Dark ears only listen with a grin
In flames of fearless fire
To late to repent your sin

What an imposing thought...

Forget the vamps-- sounds like you had lunch with the mistress of the dark.  This was a hauntingly lovely read and I just loved the flow from beginning to end.

Marina......

That was great.....I enjoy the aftertaste
of verse that is slightly dark, but very
   spirited.......

      Nicely written, with substance.....

Marina,

Deep and dark writing here.  Great imagery.  Felt like I was there.  Nice writing.

Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats
