I hang on your words as i always have i am merely another faded picture on an ever expanding wall My hope is drained Under your steel gaze yet my heart cries out 'More' Your love meant so much like a pillow behind my head or a arrow from cupid in my heart yet still you tease me you sing the songs of love and leave me standing apart before moving on to another love destroyed before we will start. I have left you now as i was the picture alone in the company of others no one but dead eyes to look upon you for the love in mine has died and with my love so goes hope and with my love so goes soul Now i am truely alone Perhaps once your touch reached me Perhaps it soothed my aching brow but in the dawn it is lost forever and with it the last of what id been For the record i will say i do and will always miss you till my dieing day Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling From glen to glen, and down the mountain side The summer's gone, and all the roses falling 'Tis |

Walter* This is so well written.....the love that can never be is sometime the most painful of all, your heartache and sadness were felt in every line~ |

Very sad poem... In hopes you find another one that will share feelings back, "bottoms up" to you ) Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go. |

Great work here Walter, well done! God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |
