Twilight comes at last Bringing its own brand of peace Some may think this simple But you must look inside to feel. I remember my youth And of days in a sweet summer Sun Of oceans that became my home The Sun's lost hope my throne. Of a winters storm off shore That made waves of intense size Which, we stood waiting for The willing who went to survive. While I found myself staring down A wall of water that did not cease The screams that came from within As I raced down from the peak. And as the day ended its fun We gatherd on the beach, exhausted Friends of this time we would not forget Of a days good riding, in twilights haze. |

ooh I really like this poem... deep emotions and cool reflections theres something about the ocean that is like looking into your soul. very well written piece here Michael very nice read. jm There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched. There are places inside our hearts - that need to be loved this much. ~jm~ |

Dude (said in my best surfer voice) ... just kiddin' ... excellent ... loved every word ... I could feel the crested waves under afoot ... thanks ... My calling before me, let quill be my offering; For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive. M.A.M. |
