I will have to say that the got up late driving too fast putting on mascara with one eye and looking for flashing lights with the other Monday morning commute is not exactly conducive to finding love but now the drive home on my highway of dreams that’s another story it’s a passing fancy of mine you see I like to study faces and wonder who goes home to who and who is out there for me a profile sticks and nudges me for a second look I slow down he speeds up he looks at me as I look at him simultaneous smiles but his lane slows mine speeds on deadlines take me away faster and faster til I pull into the drive alone one time too many and I think I must rethink my going straight home everyday perhaps I missed a side street where slower going allows a look behind the smile and maybe just maybe it turns into a gasomat where hands could reach out and touch at the rack where they sell sunflower seeds chips and fate… its tough to find a soulmate on the Monday morning commute |

~corazon i really enjoyed this! you have penned some very good thoughts here. the highway of life, goes faster and faster...gotta take the time to slow down and enjoy. oh and you know what they say right. when you aren't looking for love, that's when you find it. guess what? they're right lol. take care. amy "Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is before you can meet again. And meeting again after a moment or a lifetime is certain for those who are friends." "Fate exists but it can only take you so far, Because once you're there It's up to you to make it happen." |

~Corazon,...love the style used to write this one,...as well as the little story it holds. hehe. Cute,...'tis so true as the others have said ,...we must slow down a bit at times and not let life "pass" us by. Very nice writing. *Peace. |

Oh great! Now I can never just drive to work and sing with reckless abandon again! I'll be too paranoid... looking for that glance! Hmmm... what is she looking at? lol!! A great poem! |

he looks at me as I look at him simultaneous smiles but his lane slows mine speeds on deadlines take me away faster and faster til I pull into the drive alone one time too many ... well, it is so, monday blues are terrible to face, but then the freeway, and the rush and the deadlines, are they not everyday whims of this corporate oriented world... I remember the beautiful words 'no time to stand and stare', how much these words ring at such times.... .... beautiful work corazon, really worth reading over and over again... regards, sudhir. |

Loved this, the rush to work followed by in no rush to get home, and how do we meet someone if we just go from point to point, as in ships passing in the night? Corinne |

So it's in black and white and therefore as true as in mail.. I love you poems of late, they really talk of the most common emotions known to man and yet so few are capable of describing them, so many use buttery or flowery words. but really and truthfully, it is the basic foundation of us all to love and do things in such a simple way that soemtimes we miss the simplicity out and give those deeds/emotions grander words, when really the most wonderful of all is as you are describing of late...hope that makes sense...I'm not to good at vocalising these days... I'm just letting my thoughts flow from my mind to the keyboard.. (a little biit of editing here).. Big HUSG |

Oh boy can I relate to this one! I'm always looking at cars around me to see who is in them. And usually when I see an attractive man who smiles...there is a car seat in the back. Oh well...such is life, right? I love this! "That man has shown himself great who has never grieved in evil days and never bewailed his destiny." --Seneca |

Girl, you need to start taking the bus! Not only can you check out everybody there but you can also watch the cars going by and, because you're looking down, you can get a better view of the entire, er, scenario. Leave the driving to us! |

Corazon~ Country roads take me home and all along the way ... smiles and waving of hands beckoning me with friendly gestures. I'm glad I passed this way ! Honey child ... flirt with them all ! Enjoyed this very much. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
