   Where does the ending start....
          and the beginning end?
If there's no black or white....
then where does gray fit in?
   We need the in-between....
to make everything fit, you see....
To reach the finish from the start
          the middle has to be............

How can you be a lover....
if you've never been a friend?
How can you hope to discover....
          all the secrets kept within?
If you skip right to the climax....
          you'll miss the in-between....
the best is in the learning....
that's the middle part, you see....

   The beginning's come and go....
and if we're lucky there is no end....
In between the black and white....
          the rainbow shades fit in....
   Don't overlook the middle....
          It's secrets time will tell....
And if you like this riddle....
Then I've done my job quite well!!

           (from a middle child....)

Sunny1,

How can you be a lover....
if you've never been a friend?
How can you hope to discover....
all the secrets kept within?
If you skip right to the climax....
you'll miss the in-between....
the best is in the learning....
that's the middle part, you see....

Sunny1, what insight you have, as to being a friend before being a lover. And learning about the secrets kept within, and not missing the in-between along the way. This is so touching and so true.

Thank you for the privelage of reading what you write.

In between lies the mystery
Of secrets that await to be unveiled
Time is of no importance
When true friendship does prevail

As true friends develop a bond
Their spirits and hearts soon belong
To each other where in between
Mysteries of friendship and love are revealed

Sunny, you have a nice poem here
Inspirational and Heartfelt
Need I say I like it alot
