I met my love on the internet and wrote this poem before we actually met in person. At the time I was desperate to touch her. I still am........because she is not here with me right now!!! One Touch One touch One touch is all I need To fill the gap between Our lives And though I yearn for so much more I know can never be If but one finger of mine could reach yours Then that would suffice One tiny touch One moment One lifetime One desire Would never be enough in truth But would douse enough This fire That I could bear the ache That I could bear the pain Of the everlasting minutes Till I hear your voice Again One touch Not lips, though that would be ideal One single touch Of fingertips Would heal One touch Not hair, as much as I would like To run my fingers through it On a cold and windy night One touch Not breasts Not thighs Not hips All I ask One tiny touch One single Fingertip x Love is like the mumps.....the older you are, the harder it hits you! |

Notlikely2..this is beautiful. I know exactly how you felt when you wrote this. I have been through something similar myself. I loved the lines: One tiny touch One moment One lifetime One desire Would never be enough in truth But would douse enough This fire That I could bear the ache That I could bear the pain Of the everlasting minutes Till I hear your voice Again Lets have some more of this!! |

Not, we also met on the internet...and the days when we could not touch were terrible...I'd touch the PC screen, something LJA had given me, lay with my eyes closed and try to feel his touch...want to hear what finally brought him close to me when we were apart? He had a habit of keeping a cough drop in his mouth, so that was a familiar taste...I'd buy the same cough drops and that brought him close...silly, but it helped me deal with mmissing him...I'm SO glad those days are far behind us know and we are one...and know the seperations, though they do come at times, will never be for good! |

WOWEE!!!! What a response. Lngjgn Glad you liked the style...it really just created itself. Beverley..aww...you got me blushing again now!! Spiked Thanks...it is nice to be appreciated. Coco..Inspiration makes the presentation and I had plenty of that. Amazing...Thanx again. Cuddlez I guess you are right...but in our case it was just that one of us had to take the plunge to meet....and we did!! Lorelei It is good to hear of someone else who met in the same way as we did. You know we had only met five times before we decided to live together...but we knew each otherbetter than most married couples ever do. If you are honest about yourself, the internet is a wonderful way to meet. Love is like the mumps.....the older you are, the harder it hits you! |
