“JUST YOU” Eyes so blue like the cloudless sky, Piercing and soft like a rose. “My heart would never belong to another”, I said, Ha, until I saw you in that picture pose. You stood there with your long brown hair, Flowing down your shoulders bare. A loving smile upon your face, My heart asked, “Do I dare?” Lips as moist as the morning dew, So enticing for my kiss. I know, I know my heart, Is tempting me into bliss. A coo from a turtledove is soft like your skin, Waiting to be caressed. Wanting, needing, alluring, I would be so very blessed. A touch from you that came from heaven, I knew my angel was still there. And she came down from up above, And told my broken heart to care. I fought, and I fought a terrible fight, Within my heart and me. But I knew that all I wanted in my life, Was only to love thee. The fires burned inside me, My heart was crying for yours. I thought of the places that you would take me, And my heart started to pound on closed doors. So, I opened my heart one more time, As you cast your spell like a net. And I realized that I have always loved you, It’s been ever since that first day we met. Bill Charles |
