I remeber when
you left my heart
on that sandy beach
torn and broken
it lies there
too this very day
borrowing sunlight
in my darkest hour
giving up wihtout a fight
gone now are those days
looking for some other way
finding it won't be hard
have to learn how to play my cards
the hand that's laid
is the hand that's played
dont want to make one mistake
traveling forward
trying not to look back
keeping on dreaming
hoping for some slack
the road ahead is dusty
my cars a bit rusty
no paved road to easy street
looking under rocks
and in the highrises
see if I can find any surprises
making contacts
looking for sources
just to make my dreams come true
it's all right here
under the Colorado skies
as baby blue as my eyes.....
