One Sip Of You ~*Marge Tindal*~ One sip of you quenches my thirst Stirring the memory that you were first Never another to share your page Written in my heart your legacy of sage When drought of tenderness parches my soul I reach for a sip in your ancient bowl Drinking in the vision pooling there still Savoring the flavoring of your memory-fill Just a sip to get me through Memories of you Memories of you ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

You know somethin' I'd ask why arn't ya in bed... but then I'd know I'd be in over me head... and speaking of bed.., I hear me lover calling to me... Sheesh... I'll have to tell you how good your syllables were in the morning... Is it morning now..? If I could paint a portrait, of this life in which I've led, and somehow sketch a story, of the visions in my head, I'd start out with a canvas, stretched tightly in a frame, and in the bottom corner, I'd leave room to sign my name. Marge - very beautifully expressed. Makes me recall my own first love..... Can we ever recapture that kind of innocent trust and faith in future loves... I am not sure but God I hope so... Your words touched me... Thank you |

Somehow this made me sad, knowing it's down to memories...Seems like a mean trick that we can't always be with the ones we love... (wiping a tear) Corinne |

Marge I must have read this one a few times before I finally decided to post something. I've got to admit it breaks my heart when I read it. It's sad for me that some of the most precious things in life come down to memories in the end. Our hearts constantly yearning to bring back those times, to relive those moments. Aching to hold on. This was beautiful. Thanks. kat |
