SLEEPING ANGEL'S WAKE ... At morning's dawn, my angel slow to wake; Locks of golden fleece and silk to touch; Shining wisps of white slumber still; A second nuzzle intervenes on heaven's dream. Sweetness from her mouth does first flow; Words of honey to meet both ear and taste; Eyes left behind to catch dream's shadow; Finally open to reveal pure azure's side of gray. Blush, quick to restore from sleep's dull; Face tinged of rouge, the return of waking blood; Bending slow to feel morning's first caress; Touch like fire to cheek brings a smile to each. To greet the day with such a vision of calm; Retain the vista for the day's journey away; Remembrance to keep -- Remembrance to savor; 'Til my return to sleeping angel's wake forever.
