JR, you never cease to amaze.
Eating peanuts is your craze.
Holding on with claw upraised.

Your bantering energetic chatter.
And scolding yourself asking, "What's the matter?"
Your toys you can sure clatter.

You dance, roll over and sing.
For a treat you'll do almost anything.
Talking makes you one step closer to a human being.

Early AM is the best.
I tickle your claws and scratch your crest.
As we share breakfast, crumbs & all, you'll eat the rest.

Bath time is the best time to preen.
As you feel warm waters mist and spread your wings of green.
This big wet bird is a sight to be seen.

In the evening you'll kiss me with you beak.
As we cuddle in a chair cheek to feathered cheek.
And my emotions leave me weak.

As you softly say "I coo love you."
And I whisper back to you.
I coo love you too.

It's wonderful to have a pet like that!  One that you can truly feel will listen to you.  Wonderful poem!

"The universe is full of magical things patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper."
