A LIFE'S PRAYER ... In the pouring out of my soul; Words found, but fall so short. How can this blessing be said; Through thankfulness without an amen. For prayer's ending too final; Let infinity's demise be as complete. Hope not the pouring takes its toll; But, forever drink from its passionate cup. 'Til that dark specter visits me at last; Come to empty my well with blackest black. Be heaven's blessing to fill my feathered quill; Spirit's ink never to dry -- Never to die. My only desire, to be heard by future's ear; My eternal fire, to be stoked by spoken word. More than a life's wish -- A life's prayer; Said each day in hopes of truth's blessing. May my children's children come to know; I will write, in death as in life, forever. M.A. Miller 06.12.00 |

Of course we allow, with such wonderful writing, you may post as many as you want... Let them all come this way... regards, sudhir... P.S. and please do a bit of reading also and see what others have to offer. There are some amazing poets out here, and I hope that you will enjoy reading their work... Death, be not proud, though some have called thee, Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so; - John Donne |

Thank you Sudhir ... I must have read and commented on at least a dozen works before posting my own ... This is a much more positive site than what I'm used to ... I will be pleased to read your work, as well ... Thanks for the warm welcome ... |

Yes, as Sudhir said; post all you want. These first two are lovely. As he also said please read a bit here and there. The poets here are filled with talent in every style and I for one have found much inspiration here. I am newer to this than you. I have only been at it for around a month. I do feel that I am getting somewhat better thanks to all the wonderful works I have read and all the inspiration from my new friends. Enough rambling. Enjoyed this much |
