Shimmering Pools Shimmering pools of silver moonlight Grazing upon the tears I have shed Resting gently next to the eyes of the night Smiling for the heart upon which you have tread Once pulsing with the breath of love Now gasping in the abandoned trust Resonating darkness from the heavens above Quenching my thirst from love's hidden dust Reflections of promise for a sugared tomorrow Swirling softly in a pool of my tears Puddled masses of my deepest sorrow Caressing tenderly all my heightened fears Shimmering pools of moonbean's grace Dancing upon memories of your trampled path Guiding me through the torment I now face As I weep defeated in your lover's wrath Mark Bohannan |

Mark, This was wonderful writing. I can feel the sadness yet I see the most lovely images. Great job. Lone Wolf Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Super, sweet, sensational, supream stanza, Very nice, deep and expressive with emotions over flowing, I loved it and enjoyed it, I do believe you have just entered into the realm that torments me, the realm that we call depression . Mark! You Devil! Making all these ladies swoon and step forward to mend your trampled heart... *Psst, Mark. Long John here. I'm writing in italics so the ladies can't read my secret message to you. What a neat ploy that poem was! Just leave your home address lying around, and they'll all be coming over with dinner dishes and bowls of chicken noodle soup and cakes and pies and .... Ohhh, you are a sly one* |

Beth-As I do yours. Thank you muchly. Angelswing-glad you like it and I truely hope that you leave the realm of depression very soon. Someone has to, it is becoming too crowded. LngJhnAg-what can I say-you found me out. Just don't tell the ladies though, I am hungrey and need all those plates. LOL. The italics don't work though because I believe they all have decoders. Sudhir-Thank you and the pun was ignored(not) thanks for reading. |

Great way to tie in the lost romance by using the wonderful line "shimmering pools of moonlight." I thought that was an excellent way to emphasize the sadness of the heartbreak. Good job Mark! |

Seem to have missed this one on the first go 'round. Glad I was able to catch it this time. It's a beauty! You really conveyed that sense of dread and sorrow well; a little too well. I still have the feeling of uneasiness in me. |
