I sit by and watch you play,
Listen to you laughter,
All thorought the day.

I watch you smile as we talk,
and when you run when i say
I want to walk.

I look into your bright blue
eyes when you go to bed,
And say whats already been said.

I say "I love you" into your
ear,
You hug me,
And hold me near.

And then in the morning when
you wake,
Theres certainly no mistake.
You come into my room,
And away goes the gloom.

I sometimes sit and have
a good cry,
When your already asleep,
Theres nothing to deny.

Im always going to love you,
My sweet,
Even when our thoughts never
meet.

I want you to know if theres
anything ever wrong,
Come to me,
In my heart you belong.

Your never going to be short
of love,
Even your grandmother loves
you from up above.

    I love this!! It brought back soooooo
many memories of when my children were
small.

Beth - this poem strikes so many chords - of wanting, and of regret for the times I've missed this because I forgot what was really important. Put on a tapestry, this poem would would be a picture of truly Victorian quality. Lovely in every respect.
