In the silence that is my heart I call your name, hearing only lonely echoes bounce back from the ruins of a broken dream. Promises given in the flush of first love, fall by the wayside when passion dies and hope flees the shadows. Whispers of the beginning still whimper in my mind, begging for release and the chance to grow again untouched by this pain. And the heart that just yesterday laughed now lies empty and bleeding crushed by the betrayal of yesterdays dreams. |

Only a broken heart could write a powerful poem such as this. You have a way with words in this piece, your despair and anger and hopelessness leap from the screen and cries out, making the reader feel it with you, cleverly written I might add. I am glad that your heart is finally healing. Hugs to you, my friend Take care, Melissa Honeybee The beauty of poetry gives me wings to fly |
