There are so many fences all around. Worries and fears weight me to the ground. Others try to tell me what I can be, but I have dreams no one else can see. I'm going to travel from ocean to ocean. Just pack and leave whenever I take a notion. I'll wink at the moon or swing on a star. I'll visit all nations, those near and far. I'll ride the range like a cowboy of old. I'll be a part of the legends that are later told. I'll dance in the streets by the Broadway lights. In a New York high rise I'll spend my nights. I'll paint a portrait of world renown. I'll discover treasure thought never to be found. I'll do everything...sooner or later. Even if I only do it on paper. --You can either take me as I am...or you can watch me as I go.-- |

This is a very beautiful poem. I can't recall how many dreams I've written in my diary, but have never had ( and probably never will ) have the chance to experience them. I'm relating well to this poem. |
