In the space between moments

Eos, keeper of the dawn
Lifts blushed fingers towards the sky
Unlocking inky chains of night
And releasing a lemon chariot
Of blossoming fire.

Sweet sprays of sultry water
Cascade towards our diamond sheet
Of alabaster sand
Which shifts ‘neath your sleeping face
And melds softly
With curves of luscious skin.

Thoughts roll backward
To midnight lighted tenderly
By the snowy goddess of the moon
As beneath her waves of gold
Our souls traveled the scarlet burst
Of desire’s flame.

Our spirits spent
And entwined in silver fog
To dreams we gladly fell...

Waking hazily now to aurora’s caress
My emerald eyes touch your frame
As in slumber you gently sigh
And I wait for the eternity
That together we shall soar.

Krista, this is beautiful! I especally love how you portray Eos, or Dawn. I love mythology   . Beautiful imagery, as always.

Krista. This is one of your best..and believe me they are all marvelous! In about 10 years, I want to read that you've been named a Pulitzer Prize winner for poetry. I have such faith in you. This is incredible writing! Thank you for sharing this with me.

Well, Krista, as always you've produced a very impressive piece.   *sighs*  I wish I could write poetry like you can.  I like this one a lot.  The way you described her feelings, very nicely done, as per usual.  Like the descriptive wording.

"Our souls traveled the scarlet burst of desire's flame..."

Like it, like it, like it!  Very good job!

Oh Krista, I love reading your works, this is very beautiful!

Yes, I am here, but I am dead, not alive,
my body goes on, my spirit has died
and I though alive, feel dead inside.

Krista, once again, your pen has laid out a trail of beaty in imagery and thought. You've the talent, you've the heart. I applaud with quiet respect from this corner of the world!

I do have a suggestion, a personal foible really. That being that you could consider chainging "towards" to "toward."

I don't want to wait 10 years to know that Krista, or anyone else here at Passions who writes as well as this, is acknowledged and honored!  I want to see it now!
