~Butterflies Are Meant To Be Free~

How do I tell you what your love has come to mean to me ...
How do I let go of you when it's time ... the way you need to be.
How do I make you realize the beauty in you ... that my heart sees,
How do I truly return your love ... if only by now accepting ...
Butterflies are meant to be free.

I cannot deny ... my heart is breaking,
I cannot say ... that I'm not shaken.
I will not promise ... that I wont cry,
but I do love you enough to open my heart ... and let you fly ...

With in these moments shared ...
you've given me trust and love unconditionally,
I have grown so much in the light of your love ...
I have finally now ... found me.
Your love and all your heart's gifts ...
have made me stronger, helping me to believe ...
I truly do now ... understand and accept ... just like you ...
Butterflies are meant to be free ...

YES...I KNOW I NEED PASSIONS REHAB...     LOL

I chose this repost to be my "milestone marker"
as it was one of the first poems I ever posted here
about 6 months ago.
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you
from my heart for all of the encouragement, acceptance,
and friendship that I have been shown.
Most of all I would like to say thank you
for all the amazing inspiration and lessons
you all have taught me.
I have learned so much here and grown so much
as a poet, and as a person.
The light that shines from here is truly a gift.
Thank you to all of you in this special place we share.
Take care,
love ya,
JM

Dearest Jan; Cogratulations! This is the perfect poem from a perfectly lovely person.
Your heart and your spirit float through these forums and spread love and inspiration for us all. Thank you for encouraging me so many times. I feel truly blessed to know and love you! Ellie

Night Wings

In the pale moonlight
they dance in clouds
beauty is a mere drip
in an oceanof freedom

How they swoop and glide
Through the dark night sky
on wings of a butterfly
the days trudge forgotten

The time on feet a nightmare
to the air open arms
giving heart to the damned
oh the beauty prevails

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the roses falling
'Tis

Jan, this poem becomes more beautiful with each reading. A wonderful tribute. Yes butterflies should always be free. Congrads on the 4000th mark.
