I was lost in the depths of my loneliness Drifting on a darkened sea The light of day a fleeting hope And love a lost memory Then I saw your eyes and shadows brightened Laughter echoed through the dark I saw your eyes so full of passion Shining softly through my heart And sunlight shimmered in the darkness Like a light across the sea Bringing me home out of the shadows Where you are waiting patiently I saw your eyes like loves own beacon Calling out across my pain I saw your eyes with joy uplifting And I know how much I've gained |

beautiful Paula... its always the eyes that get us--aint it  and a few sweet poems dont hurt either do they *smile* well expressed emotions... lovely read... i remember feeling this way... its so intense when its new... i envy you...and I miss it ...*sigh* take care jm What the caterpillar calls the end ... A wonderful poem of rescue and reckoning! Mmm, mmm, mmm! I do love to read about finding the best things in life. And, I believe, love is THE best thing. This flowed beautifully and held me from title to end. |
