  Our Trials and Tribulations

  Another year has come and gone,
     And what a year it was ...
  Seems someone up above had thought
     We needed spicing up.

  Were our lives really boring?
     Were they slow or too sedate?
  I think not  ... but then again,
     ‘Tis God who does dictate.

  The ups and downs, the twists and turns,
      The never-ending ride,
  For what our futures hold for us
      Is not ours to decide.

  See ... what I find when searching
      For an answer to this year;
  Is that our Lord has given several
      Crosses we shall bear.

  The varied crises that He springs
      Upon us time again;
  Makes everyone take notice,
      Re-assess their lives and then ...

  It helps us to appreciate
      The special things we have ...
  The people whom we dearly love;
      The good times we have had.

  And throughout all, He’ll guide us,
      Though at times, we’ll be perplexed;
  And question as He guides us through
      Our next demanding test.

  However, as a family,
      Supportive in our love;
  We’ll comfort one another
      As God watches from above.

  We’ll pass this test, as very often
      In the past we’ve done ...
  There isn’t anything at all
      We cannot overcome!

Very well said, Kit. It is said that He never gives us more than we can handle and I believe that.....but He can sure come close! Excellent writing......

Kit,

Love this one!!  He always seems to know what is best for us and how much we can bear.  Great writing.

Kit~
What a lovely reminder of the burdens
I've let Him carry for me.
And He never says 'no more.'

Thank you for this special gift.

Yes we all get our share of trials and tribulations and I think we have all had periods of time when we believe we are getting much more than our share...James
