I could go for years on end Without the taste of meat. I could go for week, I'm sure, Without a thing to eat. I could fast forever if That's what I had to do But I can't last a day without you. They say a man needs water if He's going to stay alive But I could go without it and Still manage to survive. A camel goes for months and I Am sure that I could, too But I can't last a day without you. Oxygen is over-rated - I can hold my breath! I can live with nothing and Avoid the kiss of death But just one day without your smile Is far too hard to bear. My life is not worth living if I know that you're not there. There's no condition I could not Defeat - no known disease, No power on earth with strength enough To bring me to my knees But just one day without your voice And my life would be through 'Cause I can't last a day without you |

Balladeer, Now this is one we all can relate to. We all have something or someone we couldn't live without. For some it could be their spouse or children others it would be God, and for me in particular it would be those. And a day without passion's would be a terrible day indeed |

Amazing how addictive certain things can be, but then you realize you really don't need them to live. Other things, you just can't do without. Wonderful writing!! LW Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility. --William Wordsworth |

Balladeer -- I thoroughly enjoy all your humorous pieces, they make me smile after a hard day. But, this one...this one I truly loved! It was the sort of thing every woman would love to have said of her. Beauty in print! |

Oh, Balladeer, this is nice, this romantic side of you. I like. Corinne It has a song-like quality to it, reminds me of "I can't live, if living is without you, I can't live, I can't give anymore." |
