just came across this gem of a challenge in Open#7..will attempt to respond to all the submissions for that challenge and keeping fingers crossed that you will like mine

I Am
I am a quirky sense of humour in a weary soul
I wonder if true happiness can actually be attained
I hear the fascinating fauna and flora beckoning to me
I see my dreams before me,breathing an audible sigh
I want to derive fullest utility from my brief stay here
I am a quirky sense of humour in a weary soul

I pretend i'm a gorgeous hunk modelling down the streets
I feel lost, for my dreams play hide and seek
I touch the tender hand of Courage, to seek some solace
I worry if i will have the will to hold on amidst formidable troubles
I cry for the deception and hypocrisy masked faces stab with
I am a quirky sense of humour in a weary soul

I understand happiness is a perception of the mind
I say fate delivers a hand in what i have been given
I dream about being a Master of all Trades
I try to control my scathing sarcasm with inspiring words of praise
I hope i have made a difference in other people's lives, for after all
I am a quirky sense of humour in a weary soul

Wow, great poem, I can see where your coming from, a very nice, deep, well written poem that I enjoyed a lot . I love the style and the way that you intertwine two different meanings .

Kaile...you did an excellent job with this...
very poetic and revealing...
and that is quite a challenge you have taken on for your self to reply to all of those
poems in open7-
that challenge had a HUGE response...
it is the favorite challenge of mine as it allowed us a deep look into so many of the poets souls here.
I will have to come back to 7 and enjoy reading some of them again since you are bringing them up...
I hope some of our MANY new poets will try it and post here...
the format template to follow to do the challenge is posted there in 7 as well...
it gives the repeating lines and the guidelines for the poem if anyone is interested....
again great wrting Kaile...I learned a lot about you today
take care, jm

~Kaile~

Challenge well met!  I'm glad that you brought this challenge to life again in open 8, I may even attempt it because I didn't in open 7, although I wanted to then.  Well written and it's great to get a glimpse into your soul

Take care,
Melissa Honeybee

Kaile, yeah, this challenge was a fun one to try out, and I thank XAngel for originally posting the challenge last year in Old Blue.  And I must say, challenge well met.

Thank you for giving us the slightest glimpse into who you think you are.

Just when I thought I know you, you come show me this poem to surprise me... Kaile, I think I'm getting to know you better with each poem of yours I read.   And I think I might be honoured to know someone as deeply reflective as you are. No one is perfect, so don't expect too much from yourself.
