Masterpieces aren't just built
They take time to refine
Slow, with care and gentle touch
Defining each new line.

Things and people shape our lives
Each at a different time
Slowly moulding one more part
Till it's a perfect line.

Some events will cause an edge
Sharp and hard to mould
Needing extra love and care
To soften in the mould.

Once we're shaped we're placed in fire
Where dirt and grime are cleaned
We come out gleaming bright
With feelings we are free.

A splash of colour, touch of love
A final coat of glaze
The Masterpiece has come to life
And catches people's gaze.

The Masterpeice is who you are
And who you have become
The person you have worked to be
And where you have come from.

The moulding and the shaping
These are events gone by
The burning and refining
Are times we may have cried.

A splash of colour, touch of love
The final coat of glaze
These are words or true support
Of friends throughout the phase.

This was a very good poem.  It makes you think about your life and allows you to realize that negative things do happen for a reason.  Everything shapes your life in a way that is coherent, a line.

Excellent writing.  It is true that our lives are shaped by what we live and you have versed it superbly.

WOW Musicmaker...I feel as if I have been Bronzed!
You express my thoughts exactly
so many people do shape and mold us.
We are like putty in some hands, which we must be aware of least,
we get misshapened.
Looking forward to more.

(People come in and out of our life.
Some bring happiness, some bring strife
Some we remember, some we'd as soon forget
Do yo know where you fit?)
