HOW IT FEELS

The tears well up within my eyes,
The heart grants no reprieve.
The emotion bears no disguise,
But then who would believe...

This purely magical moment,
The soft touch of your skin,
Or how well your eyes compliment
The feelings deep within.

I run my fingers through your hair,
Every shimmering tress.
Within this stare of love so rare
You make seem effortless.

I place my hand upon your cheek,
And ache inside the soul.
As by three words you dare to speak
I am somehow made whole.

I kiss your sweet lips tenderly,
I pull your body near.
The trust burning inside of me
To love you without fear.

To look upon your smile, your face,
Cherish beauty as such;
Yet see the beauty you enlace
Inside you just as much.

To take what you have offered me,
With no shame by the dawn.
Carry passion, to the decree
Of Eternity, drawn.

By soft green eyes I so adore
To watch as Time reveals
A love I've only dreamt before.
So, this is how it feels...

We must be reflecting on the same three words, for I did not read this before posting my lasting offering.
IT was wonderful. (yours I mean)

Lovely it is, this poem and my pleasure it was to have read this one, Michael...

My heart is pounding, my stomach's inside out
I'm feeling kind-a-shaky, my mind is full of doubt
All I ever think about, is fearing fear itself,
Wish I could unscrew my head and put it on the shelf
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Don't know what I'm looking at, the lights are all too bright
My brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor
Sweep 'em up. Throw 'em away, don't want 'em anymore
Clouds race across the sky, day turns into night,
Still there are the questions, no answers in sight
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Starin' out the window, everything is just too bright
Brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor,
Wish I could unscrew my head, and kick it out the door...
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange

this was beautiful hon! there is
no other feeling quite like falling
in love and realizing that person
loves you too. you captured it elegantly
here with your usual grace.
take care.

I believe, I have always believed...
because I see your heart in your words
and your soul between the lines ...
that is why I type thru tears of sheer joy
and with a smile
that wont leave my lips today after reading this beautiful poem...
yes M, this is how it feels.
dream it, inhale it, make it your own
you deserve to know this ...

Micheal, it must be a wonderful thing to find love like this. You describe it well. Beautiful writing.

I have read this several times, now, and still my breath catches in my throat ...

Never in my life will you ever convince me that I am worthy of such praise, such adoration -- and yet you give it so freely and in such earnest, how can I choose to doubt?  You are putting this grouchy old cynic in a very difficult position here, Anderson ...

I am yours so long as you will have me, sweet poet, though I cannot guarantee whether that is a blessing or a curse!  May God have mercy on your soul ...

Tender and misty-eyed kisses,

GHAAACK!

Ahem.
Excuse me, hairball in my throat.

Brother o' mine, you know no one in this world is happier for your newfound faith, love and hope than I. (Even if it is with her!)

This almost brought tears to my eyes (ok, it might have been the onions, but close enough.) Seriously though, sweet, tender and full of the magical charm which is your trademark.

Love ya man... oh, ok, you too Kess.

Mike,

I feel as though I have seen something I shouldn't have; as though I interrupted an incredibly tender moment.
That was beautiful, tender and full of open emotion.  Wonderful...
