Fireworks Of The Heart
~*Marge Tindal*~

Baby brother of mine,
such a cute little tyke.
Gosh I love this kid,
the boy we call Mike.

Much too quickly
from tot to teen grown.
Off to the service
far from home.

Impish grin in a photo
with a girl by his side ...
wanted to bring her home
to be his bride.

He returned empty handed
and empty hearted within.
She couldn't come from Germany
to be with him.

Settled into life
a grown up man ...
took another for his bride
placed a ring on her hand.

Finally life became
a victory won.
In his arms
they placed his baby son.

Daddy's on the road
coming home to share
the Fourth of July
with his baby boy there.

Abandoned on the highway,
a truck in the dark.
No flares to mark the site
the tires leave their mark.

Mike didn't make it home
to his baby son
he lost his life
on this July run.

Off in the distance,
twenty years gone by,
The Fourth of July fireworks
will again light up the sky.

We will stand at the dusk in silent salute.
The fireworks bring a tear to our eyes.
Mike always loved the fireworks.
Memories will light up the sky.

With loving remembrance

Marge~

A beautiful tribute, and a great presentation, I see that you named your son after your brother.  What a lovely heart you have.

Take care,

A very loving tribute this is, Marge.  There's always a void that is never filled, when someone we love passes.  Memories always live on...
Take care my friend,

Marge,
This is a beautifully expressed tribute... I am so touched by the emotions flowing in this one, that I can't describe the way I feel in words...

Can I just say Simply BEAUTIFUL?

Marge,
Such a wonderful tribute!
I am not as close to my brother we are a continent apart.  I lost my cousin Tony in 1990, he was my very best friend!
I offer this in loving memory of our loved ones who have crossed over, be they young or old.
Many blessings always!

The Guardians Watch

There is a youthful spirit inside this ancient shell
Crying for release from the guardians watch
The iron has softened
And the water has quenched the thirst of this parched existence
Languor has wrestled it’s way through muscle and sinew
Hunched a once strong and powerful being
To this form before you now
But the Spirit is as vital and powerful as ever
And will be reborn anew as surely
As the pheonix rises from the flame
Celebrate in the newness that awaits
For I shall rise upon fresh wings
To soar through the heavens
And to you I relinquish guardianship

Marge...how I missed this one I do not know.
I know how this tradgedy hurts you.
This is a beautiful tribute to a beautiful person...may his memory always live on in your heart and make you smile as he smiles down at you from heaven above.
God chose him to fill a special place in Heaven, to be an angel.
I know they both look down at you daily and let their love and smiles travel to you upon a sunbeam.
I love you.

Love and hugs,
Your Lil' Lizzie

there was a poem that i was just looking for by you. it was also a tribute to your brother but i just cant find it yet. this is a very touching poem. it also makes me think though. my best friends brother is in the army. on the way back from here to georgia he crashed his car. and you made me think that hopefully on his way back home nothing bad will happen.
