Chasing tiny slivers of a poets hungry dream, That perfect turn of phrase That basic simple theme, Looking for that one dark word, To make it all make sense, And know that what you really say is what is being heard. To delve among the litter of all your broken dreams, And use that one forgotten time That makes your thoughts just scream The sadness and the laughter the smiles and the tears We use these things to speak our mind And chase away our fears But then comes days like this one, Where nothing seems to fit, And all my thoughts unravel and quietly come undone I cannot find an ending to such a simple verse I'm slowly going nuts here And making matters worse. So all who read this take a chance And help a fellow poet Get me out of this here dance Or I'll be crazy before you know it. HEHEHEHEHE |

i know this well, just glad my writer's block is over. When i run out of inspiration I can count on a dry period of maybe a month or more. great poem. really enjoyed it. Well expressed, creative at that! Oh I just hate it when I get writer's block, it is one of the most frustrating things in the world, I relate very much to what you are speaking of. It's one of the little ironies in the life of a poet, to have a dry spell for weeks and then all of a sudden write 5 poems in one day, funny how that happens, well that's my experience anyways. Take care, Melissa Honeybee The beauty of poetry gives me wings to fly |

Paula~ Enjoyable read. I've never had 'writer's block' but understand it can be maddening to those that are vexed with it. You seem to have cleared the obstacle. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

An all too familiar feeling. God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |
