Contrary Waltz (a poem in 3/4) Multitudes of misconceptions, They hang on my brow, I want to pick you up and hold you, But don't know quite how, Your changing atitude astounds me, With every new day, I think that just when I have found you, You push me away, Smother me with your affections, When I think we're through, A roller coaster of emotions, I'm lost, what to do? Forever must we keep revolving, Lifes dance floor in doubt, If this is all there is between us, I'll sit this one out! |

Ahh...the rollercoaster ride of emotions...been there, done that...got off the ride. You wrote of the emotions well, and the poem flowed nicely...I like! Marie~ |

I love the 3/4 time reference. One steps forward while the other steps back. Poignant, an excellent poem. Corinne |
