-More- < !signature-->you floated into my life..i knew you were what i wanted in my life forever... you soon told me that would be never i laughed, smiled, held your hand, and found pleasures i never known before feeling my love growing i tried to change your mind by showing you how much you were adored you kept pushing my love away..but then i finally heard those precious words "i want you to stay" i now see i have always wanted more..more than you could ever give...more than you could ever show..more than you could ever know... i won your heart after such a long battle..but i now realize you can't truly win something that wasn't open to start with... opening someones heart through our own actions is obviously just a myth i longed to have you hold me the way i dreamed of for so long.. i felt that it was all my fault, that i was the one that was all wrong now i see that it's no ones fault, no one is truly to blame...this has always been a no winner kind of game i know i will never have the love i give returned to me so freely..this is something i now see clearly.. i now see i have always wanted more..more than you could ever give...more than you could ever show...more than you could ever know... i see myself growing emotionally colder...something that keeps getting stronger as i grow older... i was once a bright eyed, full of love, sweet voiced girl...what happend to her? did she just disappear from my world? how do i find this other person i once was? will i ever find her? do i really want to find her? or should i just find the door? i feel like you have left me emotionally long ago...this is a matter of paper it now seems...or maybe it's all just for show...who really knows? it's sad, odd, and truly tragic..because i can still see you and i together...laughing, smiling, kissing, hugging each other as we grow..loving forever.. i now see i wanted more...more than you could ever give...more than you could ever show...more than you could ever know... Holly, it's always sad when we see that we want more than the person that we're with can give us. . . we give up so much, only to get so little in return. . . This was a wonderful poem, full of that sorrow and longing. . . Excellent... ------------------------------------------------------ That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

Beautiful writing as always.. Touching work.. i was once a bright eyed, full of love, sweet voiced girl...what happend to her? did she just disappear from my world? She's still in there.. Just need to let her come out and play. A Dream is a Wish the Heart Makes... |

I see myself in this poem. Thinking I can win someone's love when in truth you have to stand back and let love happen...it does not like to be forced or manipulated. So we fall in love and of course we want the other to fall in love with us...but we must be patient...James |
