There's no such thing as Love! At least not in my world. Wishing for a prince dreaming for happiness,it's all for little girls! But then they grow up and those dreams drift away these dreams become fairy tales, because princes never stay. There's no such thing as love,like in movies or in songs, because the way people portray it is totally wrong! Love is a feeling of happiness or cheer that stupid people get when someone they like is near.Sometimes people get smart before they get a broken heart. Others remain the sameand soon that felling tears them apart. There's no such thing as love! It's a myth like monsters and fairies. Sometimes it's pleasant ,usually it's scary. Love is a word to make people feel good. Don't fall for this feeling, don't let it take over your life, because all this feeling does is keep you up crying at night. There's no such thing as love listen to what I say it only exists in movies, love songs, and plays. Don't subject yourself to the feelings of hurt and confusion, because there's no such thing as love ! Belive me I can prove it! |

Welcome to Passions! I know that it can seem, at times, that love doesn't exist. I've been in some pretty sticky situations, and I've thought these same things more than once. But I know that love really does exist. Just look at the people around you, your parents, your friends, your family, and you'll see that love is real. Wussup Thug. . .I absolutely love this poem. I think I'm gonna copy it down and tape it up on my wall, cuz I am definitely feelin' everything you're saying. . . especially the part bout "princes never stay." It really seems like everything around us----TV, music, movies, books, Internet----builds this sugar-sweet image of love and I think it's a far cry from reality. Love is a lot more than roses and love letters and Romeo and Juliet kisses, there's a lot of pain behind it, too. You are an excellent writer and I admire your talent. |

Welcome to Passions! Great first post! I guess at times I've felt like you do, but I never could define the feeling as that love is a fairy tale as you said....I just thought I was always too young to understand it, u know. But know, it's not that I don't believe in the magic of love, but I just ignore it, cause you will live your life a lot better...thanks for sharing! salooma |

Welcome to Passions!!! First of all, there is such a thing as LOVE Love is that feeling that no matter what a brother/sister does, though we get pissed in the end it really doesn't matter I know that's pretty hard to understand, but Love is not what's causing your pain right now. Pain is caused by people inconsideration of others What movies portray love to be is what it really is.....it's suppose to make us all mushy, happy, etc....you know what i mean One day you will find a prince and he'll stay. I gotta say, I love your name! Thug-a-licious. That's so cool! Anyway, I like your poem, I've felt this way many times. But I've decided that there IS such a thing as hate, because I've definately experienced that before. So if hate exists, then love has to also, because you can't have one absolute without the other. My own theory is that teens don't really fall in love, because we're all pretty screwed up in the head, and we don't become our true selves until we turn, like, 25 or so.
