Hey everyone- I don't know where this one came from, I just kind of related it to my life, I guess it rings true....but I dunno you tell me. Keep in mind, please, that I was bored when I wrote this. Bel How It Should Be I’m lost In every meaning of the word Completely lost Of this I know you have before heard So many thoughts Run in my head I wonder How many times has this been said Fear Runs all through me Anxiety And something I can’t quite see Is this how it is supposed to be For a girl A girl like me True Young I am Young I might be But still Many things trouble me Some adults Don’t seem to see That all of a young life Isn’t filled with glee They forget What it’s like to be like me They forget Or just don’t see Maybe this is how things should be Or maybe it isn’t So how bout you tell me? |

*sigh* what I wouldn't give to tell you Bel! I know how you feel and the world just always seems so cynical I guess people just don't understand how truly hard it is to be a teenager huh? My wonderful little friend....that is exactly how things are supposed to be. Isn't it funny how youth is wasted on the young and wisdom is wasted on the old. By the time you get stuff figured out, you're too old to care or do anything with it....wierd. As lost as you are, you sure can find yer way long enuff to put it on paper nicely. If you wanna talk sometime, my aol screen name is JerMan19 I think I should change that now...I'm 20 (duh) I could also give ya my phn # if ya wanted to call sometime...I'm good with giving directions to the lost. This is very nicely written Isabel! So many emotions and thoughts you've worked through. I do remember these feelings so well myself, even though it is many years later.
