Go to sleep Mum
I won't stop breathing
Suddenly in the night

Go to sleep babe, I won't
Climb outta my ikle cot
and fall headfirst down the stairs

Mummy, I won't swallow
those pills the doctor gave you, Nor
Put hairpins in the electric sockets,
Just please mummy, go to sleep

I promise I won't cry
When you take me to school and leave me there
I'll be happy with kids my own age

Sleep please Mum sleep
I'm not going to play with matches
fall in the pond, run under a lorry
Or be dumb enough to consider sweets from strangers

I promise I won't
give you loads if lip.
Not like some I know

I won't sniff glue
or fail all my exams
Get myself pregnant
I promise to work really hard and get
A really worthwhile job.
Just please Mum go to sleep!

I'm sorry Mum
I won't ever forget
to drop in/phone/write
and if I need any milk.....

I'll scream.

hmm...sounds like someone was quite mischievous! at any rate, this poem was very endearing! leaving your parents is a hard thing for both parties, and do call your mom every now and then! Keep up the good work! Love Always~*~Jessica~*~
