A poem I wrote as part of a thank~you note to my Grandpa. Any input would be appreciated. Taking time to always make me smile Hugs to help me go the extra mile And smiles that can make me realize Nothing can make me any less in your eyes Kind and supporting words; always there You know just how to show me you care Obstacles overcome; with everlasting hope Unbelievable confidence helps me to cope Giving me all I need, right from the start Rays of sunshine streaming from your heart Always there with a story to lift me higher No doubt; you're here with love that won't tire Dearest one, that I know will never leave Persistence and courage, making me believe And this, a way of thanking you for love I receive ~Susie "If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each man's life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility." ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow "Driftwood" |

Susie, That is such a sweet poem!!! I can see that you must really love your grandpa, and it's great that you have such a good relationship with him. Nikki~ Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it. No, not a Father's Day gift, actually. My grandpa just gave me $345 when he found out I was a part of the Miss Pennsylvania Junior Teen Pageant and I needed someone to sponsor me, like always, he was ready to help me and this is just my way of thanking him.
