I gave you up once in the past Though my heart disagreed and wanted you to last How hard it was is so clear, yet so long ago And now, once again I'm letting you go When we met, I was just a little girl Back then I just wanted to give us a whirl But the situation just wasn't so And in the end I let you go You came back in my life as more than friends So much stronger, leaving me more strife But I lost all my senses and let my feelings grow And there I held off letting you go I'll always consider you a friend And defend you till the end But what I wished just couldn't be so And once again I'm letting you go. |
